Magpie is a Philadelphia-based pie shop that elevates the classics with an artisanal touch. Each pie is hand-crafted, seasonally-fresh, and baked with love for pure, pie joy. Built from family recipes, evolved with an artisan craft, each pie and the shop itself exude that at-home feel and comfort. Even the classes offered there, invite consumers in to become part of the brand.
The goal of this brand and web refresh was to put that handcrafted, welcoming feeling front and center. We used overhead photography and video of the owner’s hands, raw ingredients, and real tools to make the viewer feel a part of the process, and highlight the natural beauty of each pie.
The shop has since closed as the owner has retired, but you can still check out the website.
